Island Roads - Arreton Works Bulletin No 2

Introduction

This is the second works bulletin for Arreton, where we will try and keep you informed of the

developments on site. We will also highlight any question that have been raised in the previous

week and will continue with these bulletins until the works are completed.

As of the morning of Saturday 25th April 2015, the main access from Arreton Barns will be available

again.

The programme: As informed, the works started Monday 20th April 2015. The works are on programme and we are looking to commence Phase 2 on Monday 4th May 2015, although there may be an opportunity to start slightly earlier depending on the progress that we are able to make. Any residents who will be impacted by the closure moving will be informed prior to the move being made.

You will see from the phases below that we have extended Phase 1 slightly. This is to allow residents

of the small crescent off Arreton Street to have vehicle access throughout the works. We will

continue to assess how access can be maintained to all side roads and lanes, where possible.

Amended phases.

We have slightly amended the phases in order to improve access:

• Phase 1 – Arreton Cross – Adjacent to property ‘Sun Trap’."Chessell's Cottages"

• Phase 2 – Adjacent to property ‘Sun Trap’ to north side of access to Cherry Wood View.

• Phase 3 –North side of Cherrywood View to north side of Arreton Stores and Post Office.

• Phase 4 – North Side of Post Office to Horringford Bridge.
