Melvyn Pettit Autotrail Story

My Autotrail Story

First of all I must explain the "Blog Name".  Well it really started in 2009, when along with sister (Annette)and nephew (Simon) I visited the Motorhome show in Birmingham. Having sold my house in north London and my sister and brother-in-law (Tony) retiring in February 2010 and they were wishing to relocate from there present address in Luton. So after visiting the Motorhome show for  3 days and checking out vehicles on offer I settled on a new Autotrail Comanche Motorhome. Due date for delivery was to be March 2010. Over the Christmas period we view a house on the Isle of Wight. So with Annette's house sold in 4 Days! and within six weeks in February 2010 I joined my sister and family, who after retiring relocated to the village of Arreton on the Isle of Wight,UK, and wait for Auto Trail to deliver “Big Rig” to the dealership in Newcastle.....

Which includes trip to BMW in USA, BMW Club Europa European meetings, Nurburgring 24hr, Spa 24hr,DTM and many other BMW events here in UK and abroad. Please feel free to look through the blog.

UPDATE: November 2014
Well after nearly five years with Motorhome I have now exchanged it for a Holiday Home on the Isle of Wight, so Arreton Traveller is NOW STATIC. So another adventure starts for myself and the family.

After completing the refurbishment of the Holiday home during the long hot summer and starting to get bored, I went back to my idea I had when all those years ago I wanted to see the UK and Europe while getting paid, so got a job as a HGV driver. So to get to know all the Isle of Wight, and get paid for it I now have a part time job as a (CDA) Customer Driver Assistant, home delivery driver to you and me for Tesco.com, I am based at Tesco Extra, Ryde, Isle of Wight.

So watch this space for updates.....

Happy reading
Melvyn Pettit (Arreton Traveller)
