Been busy with the “Arreton Squadron” of the House Martins
today, as yet another chick takes flight.

I think it is the third chick to fledge this year so far, still many chicks in nests.

Counted twelve (12) birds flying around at present.

House Martin birds - July 2016 update

This weekend at home in Arreton, so time to check in with the House Martin birds on my bedroom window and wall. Well I am happy to report that with chicks in new “Window, Eve and Wall” nests, so along with old nests I think that we have had twelve (12) chicks this year far!

2015 - House Martin nest attacked by House Sparrows

Today our House Martin nest was attacked and taken over by the B----Y House Sparrows, So after five years of having the Martins at our home, it looks like they will not be back..!

Chaffinch in Garden

While sitting in the conservatory this evening, I spotted this Chaffinch feeding in the garden on the sunflower seeds. So took some photographs through the glass of it.
