WightFibre IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Advance notice of works in ARRETON

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Advance notice of works in ARRETON

Main Road from WHITE LION P.H. to HASELEY MANOR
Commencing TUESDAY 4th AUGUST 2020 until Thursday 6th AUGUST 2020*

(Although these are the intended dates there may be some slight variation due to operational necessity).
WightFibre would like to advise you that, as part of the project to deliver full-fibre, ultrafast, future-proof broadband across the Isle of Wight, foot and/or carriageway works comprising excavation and reinstatement of a number of trial holes in connection with the installation of fibre optic cabling.

To minimise disruption to residents, Island Roads, acting on behalf of the statutory authority, Isle of Wight Council, has stipulated that these works must be carried out between the hours of 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. and a Traffic Management System of 2-way traffic lights will be in operation during the works.
These works will be carried out in strict accordance with the New Roads & Street Works Act 1991 and pedestrian access to all residential and commercial properties is a priority. In order to facilitate this there may be a requirement to put in place a number of fully signed pedestrian diversions. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained and there will be access at all times for other vehicles although it is possible there might be very slight delays.

WightFibre would like to assure you that we will work with our civil engineering contractors and the local authorities to keep disruption to the minimum and complete the works as quickly as possible.

WightFibre is investing £50 million building a new full-fibre, ultrafast, future-proof, broadband network across the Isle of Wight. If you have any queries or concerns regarding these works, you can find more information on WightFibre's new Gigabit Island project at:

Yours faithfully,
WightFibre
