Roadworks on Briddlesford Road

Whilst not in our patch, you may like to know that Briddlesford Road will be closed at the Robin Hill end on two occasions in the next couple of weeks.  Therefore, if you plan to visit Lynnbottom Tip or nip through to Ryde, Wootton Bridge or East Cowes, you will have to re-think your journey.  Long Lane will also be closed overnight on one occasion.

The Isle of Wight Council (Briddlesford Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2023

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0930 hours on Wednesday 26 April 2023 until 1530 hours on Thursday 27 April 2023, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Briddlesford Road, between its junctions with Long Lane and Lynnbottom Recycling Centre. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during tree maintenance works.
