Roadworks

Please see below for advance notice of roadworks in our area.  Admittedly the first one is not in the Parish but no doubt Merstone residents are in the habit of going that way.  Please note that it is tomorrow (Friday) evening.  Bathingbourne Lane is our boundary on the southeast side.

The Isle of Wight Council (Newport Road, Godshill, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2022

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 1930 hours and 2300 hours, on Friday 26 August 2022, for one shift, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Newport Road between its junctions with Merstone Lane and Chequers Inn Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repair works. 

The Isle of Wight Council (Bathingbourne Lane, Godshill, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2022

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0800 hours and 1600 hours, for one shift, between Tuesday 06 September 2022 and Thursday 08 September 2022, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Bathingbourne Lane for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during structure maintenance works.
